Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE™ PRO 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe

Lovely thing, the MagSafe part can be pushed back to provide a flat charging pad if needed.

These tapo sensors.
Not considered them before.

Apart from front door and bathrooms are they useful?

Or is that the main place they are indeed useful?

For us it just allows automation of things that would be done by voice in the dead of night, or a set of commands when entering or exiting the house.

I will be setting up more later for things to happen during different times of the day and the like.

Yeah this seems like the use case for me. It may actually make sense. Well. Probably not financially. But anther gadget lol.

I'm guessing they work with Google assistant sake as alexa?

With the Alexa app I am able to add what-ever to the Tapo sensor, compared to doing through the Tapo app.

Honestly - motion sensing lights are GOD TIER. I can't believe folk still use switches like absolute dirt bag caveman. The one in my hall just gives me enough dimmed light, but the one on my toaster puts my Hue kitchen panel, WC and Utility room lights to the right brightness/colour. The kitchen literally never feels dark because you have been programmed to expect it to be light.
I like my switches though! Lol!

Yeah, I like motion-sensing controlled lights too. Just makes life easier. The hallway, toilet and kitchen all have them, set for just 2 minutes I think. The only place I might be where I don't move for 2 minutes is the loo, but a quick wave of an arm solves that. I think someone said they had all theirs set to 10 minutes? This seems a long time to have them set?

10mins trial atm because OH often gets up during the night to feed the cat and that amount of time is around how long it takes.

Also this one sensor is hidden from one direction, so a longer time for the lights closer to the bedroom suit for now and may change with the addition of more sensors.

Yes, but you understand, it's about how long the light stays on after sensing any movement. I could be in the kitchen for 12 minutes, the lights won't go out as I'm moving. When I leave, I don't need them staying on, so after 2 mins they go off. I guess if you're being very still, then a longer time is needed, but surely she will move within the 10 minutes?

No sorry, you do not understand.

I have one sensor in the hallway that is set to switch on one light in the hallway, two in the kitchen and one in the toilet.

This allows enough light to go between the area's and works fine for the OH, who gets woken by the cat during the night to be fed  and is only active between 12 and 6am
