New bluetooth adapter, this time with BT 5.3 support. For a tenner wasn't expecting huge range etc but really, it manages to maintain a stable connection whilst listening to a podcast on the PC upstairs and I'm all the way downstairs between one floor and 4 walls approx 20-25 metres away, without the need for a dongle with a big aerial, and that is on just some TWS buds. Most impressive.

Best of all, unlike the user reviews of most of the other ones that supposedly don't work on Windows 11 at BT 5.3, this is detected as a Realtek chip and Windows auto installs the Realtek 2023 driver accordingly, the firmware class profile is in device manager LMP 12 which is BT 5.3.

How's the video/audio lag with headphones? I've given up with BT headphones with even on youtube low quality mode.

I'm obviously lagging behind on Bluetooth, I just bought a new 5.0 adapter, although my only requirement is that it works on Linux anyway, so probably for the better in some respects, but just plugged it into a Windows 11 install and it also detects as Realtek, LMP 9 so definitely 5.0, I paid the same as you, so might have to swap to test if any better.

Grabbed a new Pi, not upgraded mine in a good long while, and couldn't be bothered with the stock faff over the last few years.

I had a Bluetooth 5.0 one before of similar size but not the same brand and did notice audio lag when watching videos even on youtube. not so with this adapter although I am also using bluetooth 5.3 headphones as well. basiclaly anything 5.2+ should have no noticeable audio latency delay on videos from what I can tell.

I've an Asus bluetooth 5.0 dongle that I've been using for a few years now. It's been the best dongle I've had so far, rock solid connections and it seems to go almost as far as I want. I did notice a bit of latency in games, but I just got used to it. :o

From what you've said, it looks like I'll be buying the same dongle as you in my next order.

Ymmv as always but yeah so far all's been good. I haven't played any games yet but will fire up cyberpunk later this evening and try that!

After about 2 years of undiagnosed creaking, I decided it definitely was the spokes, so just replaced the wheels.

It's on my winter bike, so I didn't bother spending big money and got these alloy wheels (on half price). I'll then look into how much it costs to have the spokes replaced on the more expensive, lighter, aero wheels.

I've just discovered that my Ugreen bluetooth 5.3 dongle from AliExpress is in actual fact a bluetooth 4.0 dongle, as the LMP firmware is v6.8891. No wonder it wasn't that good.
