Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

No, I don't have a credit card, I Just paid striaght from my bank with a visa debit card

I had a credit card many years ago and never used it.
Regardless of what some people say about credit cards and debt blah blah blah, you should always have an active credit card for expensive purchases

3 for £10!
Just eaten one whole bag and have slight chest pains, not sure why.
Probably global warming or Brexit, but I’m sure I’ll be ok.

Beef (20%), Mechanically Separated Chicken Meat (18%), Beef Fat, Soy Protein, Chicken (10%), Mutton Fat, Rusk (Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Salt), Water, Lamb (2%), Mutton (2%)

That sounds perfect to have with my strong Belgium beers and 2 cans of Export

Some LED headlights to replace the horrific stock bulbs this thing came with

Not a huge fan of the light cluster, but most LED bulbs come look like this in this style, and the only ones i found which didn't were considerably more expensive!

You can still chargeback on a debit card purchase:

Tomb Raider Underworld (2008) for 84p via Humble Bundle

Can't recall playing it but probably did on PS3 or something so be nice to play it on PC with some mods and (no mods exist!) ultrawide.

I shouldn’t worry too much.
I had 2 CPU’s stolen before they were delivered to me, and Amazon refunded immediately on both occasions.
On the flip side they sent me 2 MSI Meg Unify motherboards instead of one and refused to let me give back one of them.
Go figure.
That said, I won’t use them again for anything expensive, the worry just isn’t worth it.

I too will never use Amazon for anything expensive, it's basically a glorified eBay these days with cowboy sellers selling cheap Chinese knock offs.

The only thing it's good for is cheap cables (USB-C, HDMI etc), but most of the time you might as well go straight to source and use AlliExpress

I barely use Amazon at all. Never had prime.

I Go to Aliexpress for tat like that. Hdmi cable for 1 pound including postage? Yes please!

I use vinted/shop outlets for clothes mainly.

For most electronics I use Ebay, Google searches, even argos is sometimes cheapest.
Amazon used to be a default go to. Not anymore.

I'd personally never go eBay for any "expensive" electronics, again just too much risk associated with it.

I'm lucky enough to be in the position where any "savings" made on eBay do not outweigh the potential time, effort and hassle sink of having something arrive not as described, faulty or even worse like the unfortunate gentleman above.

Premium PC parts I usually get from an OcUK competitor (Sadly when I was last doing a build OcUK were super slow with dispatch times, and I find their website design a pain in the butt with not being able to use any useful sort of filter :(

Clothes I do tend to buy new, but that's only because i'm a picky bugger who's built like a gorilla, so i've been wearing the same jeans from River Island for over a decade, and know where to get tshirts I like :p

Opposite for me. Over 100s maybe into the 1500+ transactions on ebay I've only had one 2 issues that weren't resolved. And one was the courier.

It must have saved me thousands of pounds over the year

I actually find clothes shopping on vinted easier than not.
If use vinted I can just ask for "teal rain coat" and I get so many options.
Doing this new it's a right slog as can end up on loads of different "shops". Others get missed etc.
Some of my stuff is quite high end so savings can be substantial.
You can often get 500+ pound rain jackets for under 200 that look neatly new.

I'm eBay would be fine, but I just can't handle the stress of something going awry. Time is the resource i'm most short of, so if i'm upgrading a PC or spending a bit of money on something, I want to get straight down to using it/building it!

Strangely, just yesterday I said I really need an actual decent waterproof coat and thought i'd download Vinted again, so thanks for the reminder!

Ok I haven't just bought this and I have an NHS dentist and an appointment for a checkup in April but I badly broke a tooth and this has put a solid fill (the side went) plus a lovely smooth cap on top, very solid and been munching nuts for over a week on it.
So it's a heads up really, it's like araldite and if you get the mix wrong (powder and a liquid you add) it ain't going to work, my tip is to clean out first with water flosser, maybe vinegar or similar to disinfect
Edit/ go heavy on the liquid until it's like chewing gum then bung it in, mouth open let it set

Analysers are always useful. Any particular use in mind or just general aerial checking?
Immediate use was for antenna checking/making and impedance matching, I need to get my head around Smith charts to get more out of it! Just got into Lora/Meshtastic so needed some 868MHz antennas and you just can't trust advertised specs - well, not on Chinese stuff anyway.

Amazon is fine if you know exactly what you want, but searching or browsing is awful. So much chinese crap.

Argos is sorting me out recently for tech stuff. Only other thing i buy a lot of is tools, which i get from wherever is doing a good deal.

Firefox Relay + PO Box has made signing up for random websites a breeze.

I'm doing a fair bit of shopping for bits & bobs on Ali Express too.

Granted it takes 2 to 4 weeks to arrive but it's like Alladin's Cave of tat that website, sell all sorts.

Needed a new band for my Mi 5, 0.79p and for ***** and giggles i've bought a cheap "smart watch" too.
