What! How?

Amazon was great with me. They didnt even want to see the video of me opening it. Was refunded within 24 hours.
But how much did the item cost that you got refunded for ?

As the two amazon support people I talked to so far are telling me they can’t do a refund as the value is above what there allowed, And I need to deal with someone from higher up
(I have no idea how I can even get hold of one these higher up people at Amazon)

There now telling me I got to return it to them which is going cost me almost £50 for tracked shipping
(plus about another £50 on top for time off work to go to the post office )

Maybe its just pot luck then. I had one 20 minute conversation although I was on hold for 5 minutes while they went to get it authorised by their boss. Granted it wasnt a £1500 card though, mines was only £600.

And I asked if they wanted it returned and they said no.

Sorry, was the card faulty or had it been stolen?

They want you to return the spaghetti and honey???!

Call back and ask to speak to the supervisor or complaints team if they refuse.

From previous posts, it appears someone like the courier has weighed it, opened, taken the card and replaced with same weight items from Waitrose.

Or its a customer return. Thats how it normally happens. Amazon just weighs the returned items and dont physically check them cause its cheaper. And then sends a brick out to the next innocent buyer.

Didn't know they were not check on return.

That leaves them open to serious issues...

I'm always amazed when I send something back to Amazon, which happens quite often tbh, and I don't even have to pay for postage. Makes it well worth it for someone who can be a tad impulsive!

The same applies since I've stopped subs.

I clicked the wrong item for return a few weeks ago with the difference being a few £'s in their favour, but on chat they just refunded me the full price + I had already been refunded for the other item.

I can’t through to the phone number now they started the return, I tried for ages yesterday evening

Am pretty sure the half English speaking person I talked to thinks it just some food waste on the box and not a missing/stolen card, as he spoke very little English
