Could be interesting using paid wifi with the family and sharing the single wifi account via the router with x number of devices rather than 1. I presume that's a common use case?Yes, the captive portal popped up, filled it in as normal.

No, VPNs work fine in China, you can tunnel out and access whatever you like. The CCP won't kick your hotel door in or anythingUnless you are in China I guess??

Nope, the other devices logs into a normal WiFi password which is on the bottom of the the unit by default. But you don't have to sign in with every device there after? Only at router level?
Did the hotel have a lan socket on the room or are you repeating wifi?Got to my hotel now...set up my own private wifi network now, but the Chromecast was a bust, can't get access to the back of the TV to reach the HDMI port.
I am repeating the WiFi, no LAN socket.Did the hotel have a lan socket on the room or are you repeating wifi?

The airport express did exactly that about 15 years ago.
That id absolutely brilliant. Probably going to grab one, will make hotels a lot easier! Thank you
Anyone know of cases for key fobs?
As in to put in case and then on keychain
And this is using the airports wifi? With the usual login page? Does the router handle the login page?
Ah yes I see it's connected to airport wifi. This interesting. My work laptop sometimes has a fit with login pages at hotels etc, this could be a nice work around and it seems they're only £50~
Just picked one up after all the discussions in here. I'll be travelling a lot for the rest of the year and next, so will be ideal.
I guess this could also be used on planes. They normally limit their access to one device only. This gets around that completely. Laptop, phone, tablet, steamdeck. Happy days.
Coupon on rainforest to take it to £73, but same on other sites so wondering if thats the normal price?
