Errrr….

No I’m not going to go down that rabbit hole tonight
You don't have to, because what I mean is pretty well known anyway. I think you are just assuming I meant one thing when I did not.

The key is the ratio of calorie count to nutritional value. Good calories are those that provide lean-protein, healthy-fats and complex carbs from fresh whole foods and quality meal replacements and supplements. Bad calories are those that don't provide your body with good nutrition.

A calorie is just a unit, a measurement of energy, there are no good/bad calories. And that article from 4 years ago doesn’t exactly state that either - it alludes to some foods being richer in nutritional content than others.

Yes, hence good and bad ca\lories. You're thinking about this in all too much black and white, don't do that. I refer to the exact quote I posted in that same comment.

I think it's clear that the message is there is good food and bad food, calories are only part of a much bigger picture. I agree with that, but I also agree that the McPlant is the metaphorical canary in the coal mine that is our developing dystopia.

I just like the taste, that's all that matters end of the day :p It's a farcry nicer than any of the other "vegan" options at the other fast food joints, I know because I've tried all of them.

The whole meta for vegan food is so dumb. Plants taste great without it LARPing as meat food.
True but also... I love junk food. when I was vegan I ate the same sort of diet, lots of fried stuff, crispy beige stuff, burgers, chips... Just without meat and dairy in. Unsurprisingly I felt no healthier.

1. Potatoes are vegan.

2. You can deep fry anything.

Fair enough...

Yeah, I had a look and its all Vegan ingredients including "a vegan alternative to cheese"

What I found interesting, and only because I looked up the ingredients, and given that a lot of people consider Vegan alternatives to be healthier, is that the closest equivalent meat burger seems to be the McDonald Cheeseburger yet the vegan burger has 50% more calories than the meat one

https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/product/vegan-mcplant.html - 426kcal

https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/product/cheeseburger.html - 294kcal

EDIT: - I should add that the calorie bit is also not a dig, I found it interesting and that's all.

I have no dog in this fight. But comparing their cheapest small burger to a more expensive burger isn't comparing like with like. You probably should compare it to the 1/4 pounder with cheese, which has about 90 more calories. Mcplant has about a third less protein though

Neither will be great for healthy eating mind.

Where do you fill it in? The first device that connects? Then the rest connect as normal? I'm tempted by this little gadget, but not sure I'm the right use case for it.

Join the router’s WiFi network from a device or with LAN between computer to router and go to 192.168.8.1 in the browser and it brings up the admin page.

Once in, you can then use one of the many ways to connect the router to the internet, LAN, WiFi repeater, Tether or cellular.

Then a little yellow box comes up where it says “login portal”, click it and it opens a new tab on the browser of the hotel captive portal. Fill that in then the router should be online.

Now open a new tab and go to a random site, check your WiFi in the device is still on the router’s WiFi network, if it works then you are in.

To double make sure, you can always make the device to Forget the hotel’s WiFi network so it never auto connects.

Cool, thanks. Think I'll give it a miss as I never use anything other than a phone, and I just sign in with that anyway.
