It is indeed. I've been recording electric drums via line-in to my Zoom Q3 and it's very easy to get a studio produced sound. The challenge now is to get a good recording of my acoustic drums. The XLR inputs at the back of the Q8 allow me to add two external mics while the built in mics will act like overheads.

Ordered a new sealed Chromebook Pixel from the US but then had the chance of an i7 Chromebook Pixel 2 so took the plunge and will sell the first model. Yes there's rumours of a new one soon but I know I can dump Linux on the Pixel 2.

Pixels have always been a showcase hardware for Google, the i7 is overkill as is the 16GB of ram. Lovely piece of hardware though
