A Byte contains 8 bits.

b = bit
B = Byte = 8x b

k/K = kilo = 1000

Ki = kibi = 1024

kbps/Kbps = kilo bit per second
kBps/KBps = kilo Byte per second

Files sizes are usually stated in (Kibi/Mibi/Gibi - 1024x) Bytes - advertised transfer speeds and protocol thresholds (*1) are usually stated in bits - although you can state transfer speeds in Bytes too (*2), as long as you use the capital B - just like your screenshot did. Usually when you're transferring a file, you refer to the part of the file size that's being transferred.

*1: Internet speeds in Kilobit/Megabit/Gigabit
*2: 1 Kbps = 125 Bps, 1 Mbps = 125 KBps, 1Gbps = 125MBps... etc

As a random piece of information... the fastest transfer speed trial over a single pair of fibre that I know of is a trial Huawei are running with Southampton Uni at 800Tbps.
