I think people are conflating chavvy and what I'd call 'nouveau', the former being cheap and nasty and in poor taste, the latter being expensive, often very high quality but in equally (or sometimes even worse) bad taste.

Nouveau being assigned to those who have plenty of money but no inherited taste. Sounds ridiculously snobby I know.

Did also buy a box of Simply Thanks but as soon as got home it was wrapped up and sent.

I wanted Sky Q, but we can't have it as we have 4 Sky boxes in the house and Sky Q is a maximum of three, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Plus, the planner would be a nightmare with that many people using it!
