Dji F550 hexrotor in the process of being built

And a vid

Keep posting shots of the 550 build, would love to know how it goes.

This is my phantom I got yesterday in very strong wind, skip to 3min 30 and it got pretty high and due to strong wind was tough to get down again. I have since found the best method is the get some backwards motion while descending to help

Just waiting for the FPV gear to arrive so I can build it all in.

I have an OSD, a 200mW Tx, a 7" screen from my ground station, and a separate camera for FPV flight.
I'm going to build in a video switch that I can trigger from one of the spare channels on the DX8. This way I can switch between the forward facing FPV camera for flying, and the GoPro for framing video.

My oldest boy had his WeThePeople BMX stolen by one of his mum's 'junkie friends' when he was still living with her and had taken a shine to my MTB. Not wanting him to be bike-less and wanting my MTB to stay pristine I promised him his own MTB. Was just wondering around the local shops and saw this in one of those cash for goods stores. As new except some idiot (probably the person who bought it) had tried to screw the pedals into the wrong sides of the crank and chewed the thread a little on both crank arms. It was up for £400, I got them to knock 30 off for the crank arms being trashed. Took it home, out with the tap and die set, crank arms sorted.

With it came, two sets of lights, mud guards, other odds and ends and the receipt from Evans-Cycles for £800. The bike (BMC SportElite) had never been ridden, still had the tags and stickers on all the parts, My boy loves it and I saved a packet as I was looking to spend around 1K for him decent bike.

My own bike that I bought in April, paid £521 for this in an auction. Was just like new when I got it, when I picked it up the father of the lad who sold it was going crazy about his son wasting money, told me the lad had only ridden it twice to his mums.

I've put SRAM X0 twist shifters on and Time Xroc MX6 pedals and an MRP triple chainring protector. It already had a Da-Bomb Da-Rim back wheel on and Maxis minion DH tyres when I bought it.

Would look a lot better without the orange reflectors on the wheels :p.

At night your cycle MUST have white front and red rear lights lit. It MUST also be fitted with a red rear reflector (and amber pedal reflectors, if manufactured after 1/10/85). White front reflectors and spoke reflectors will also help you to be seen. Flashing lights are permitted but it is recommended that cyclists who are riding in areas without street lighting use a steady front lamp.
