Got a mega deal on this ES8000 Samsung

Managed to find one at a Richersounds that had been hung in a demo room. I ended up with £1000 off the original price, and a free wall hanger.

For saying that its last years tech, the quality on Blu-ray's is absolutely stunning.

I spent a bit of time on AV forums and did a self calibration, which has helped no end. My living room is very bright, so unfortunately a Plasma was out of the question.

Pretty much in simplistic terms as the above. You build a frame on the wall, mine has a cut out in the middle as the TV is mounted to the back wall so it sits as flush as possible with the floating wall (this tv helps as it's so dam thin )
Then the strip lighting is wrapped around the outside frame, with all the cables tucked away nicely.
Was actually fairly straightforward to complete and looks stunning in person.

Unfortunately not, but all I can remember is that is was on one of the Official Samsung UNES8000 Owners threads. I just looked through until I found a calibration spec that people were raving about.

EDIT: Actually, you're in luck. I took a screen shot of the pages on my ipad for the 'movie' and 'standard' modes. Ill post them in the random Images thread for you.

More or less a complete kit just needed to add radio gear and glue it together.

It is made of Expanded Poly-olefin foam so it is quite light.

I will try to get some better pictures of it tomorrow.
