I think you're going a little overboard there Ray.

mrk's had some printed and mounted up for personal use from images the creator freely posted on the internet. It's not like he's selling them.

Ray is right though, it doesn't matter if images are freely posted on the internet, it's still subject to Copyright. It's a bit hypocritical infringing copyright from someone who is a photographer and makes money from IP.

Import fees are part of the reason I've given up importing from Japan, just demoralizing to pay almost equal or even more than the value of goods due to handling fees.

It makes me pretty mad to be honest, it's not that the VAT is bad enough, it's the "handling" charge from Royal Mail or Parcel Force.

The handling is almost or more then the cost of the VAT and sometimes more then the shipping.

How can they justify that? How can they justify £7 to £9 for "handling" when shipping costs less that and that includes the price of handling the goods, boxing the goods, the box itself, the paper and the cost of shipping itself!

Oh nice, I love Date a Live and really liked that figure. Keep posting more. :D

Where from? I need a cheap Android phone just to keep in my car to have paired up with my satnav for traffic updates. Don't want to pair my actual phone to it because I want it paired to my car BT instead.

Asda, I think it was on HUKD the other week so you might not have much joy finding it now. It's the T-Mobile one, I think it's on O2 as well but that one is still normal price.

It's a threepence from 1569. The monarch is Queen Elizabeth I.

Coins were made at this time by hitting a bit of metal with a hammer, they are literally known as hammered coins. This is why it looks rough by modern standards.

It's made of silver, inscriptions are ELIZABETH D G ANG FR ET HIB REGINA (Elizabeth by the Grace of God, of England, France and Ireland Queen)

The portrait of the Queen is still decent, a lot of them are totally worn flat now.

Very interesting! Did you buy online?

Nope, was at an antiques fair earlier today.

Coin dealing is still often done in person / through mail order, a lot of the sellers are quite old fashioned :p

You can still find plenty online of course.

*Waits for people from the couriers to swoop in and say that £9 handling fee is reasonable when that is more than the cost of the entire shipping*

only ever time I got charges...

spent 100$ on hobby stuff on a singapore website including postage.
got a £14 handling fee from parcel force....

Nail head. I thought it equally hypocritical.

The print shop is equally unprofessional for not checking a blatant copyright infringement.
