No manga here, nanny boys.

Let us know how you get on. I had a very similar tent (Jack Wolfskin Gossamer), loved it at first as it felt like the best of both worlds. Ended up feeling more like the worst of both worlds and I switched to a bivvy bag. About to move to a bivvy+tarp tent setup.

The idea is to set up a small tarp over the entrance (where I can) to allow me to cook and what have you - a bit extra space. It's quite a large one man bivi-style tent, you could probably fit two people in it at a push - well there'll be me and the dog (collie) in it at the weekend so we'll see how much room we have. I'm used to small tents and compact gear though so I think it'll be alright.

I tried the Gelert Solo on a road trip to Mongolia.
What a hideous thing, so small it was ridiculous

A mate has one of those, it's not bad for the price but I doubt I'd have used it in Mongolia! He always says it's like a coffin, with the fly an inch from his nose.

I don't think I'm quite getting it... as a prime member already and a owner of a smart TV, why would you buy this?

Because I don't have a smart tv? (and I've got three TV's it could connect to that aren't already connected to a PC).
It can also be used with plex over our network.
Because it's quieter and cheaper (not to mention much smaller*) than a PC to do the same job?

And because I suspect some members of my family may find it easier to use than some of the other options.

Not to mention it's a gadget that looks interesting and didn't cost much.

*It's about the size of a double CD case.

Fair enough. It wasn't a sarcastic question, I was just puzzled as obviously the none smart tv market is a shrinking one, why you would bring out such a gadget and why someone would get one.

Well have had a bit of a spending spree over the last month or so including:

Razer Blackwidow Chroma Ultimate Keyboard
Forza Horizon 2 (Xbox One)
Alien Isolation - Ripley Edition (Xbox One)
Project Spark - Starter kit (Xbox One)

Train Tickets for NFL Weekends in London
Maxnomic ESL Branded Pro Gamer/Office Chair. (Just arrived today)
Civilization: Beyond Earth (picking up tomorrow)
Xbox One Controller (COD: AW branded picking up tomorrow if available)

I have a couple more games due over the coming months.

I think one of the important things to remember is that it is ultimately a modified android device, which means that it's likely to be able to be updated far more easily than most smart TV's (some of which have a tendency to lose functionality as their interfaces don't get updated after a while).

It also has the ability to play games etc, and Amazon are making a reasonably big thing about the voice search for content, which should make it much easier to uses out of the box than most smart TV's.

yeah thats a good point, I'm sure amazon will support it well. I'd probably get it a bit down the line I imagine.

I bought mine in 2003. Can't fault it either.

Didn't take me ages to fine it. The previous el-cheapo toaster broke in warranty, picked that one at random from the reasonably priced ones in Currys as it had a brand I'd heard of.
Lucky choice.

2003! If mine lasts as long as yours I'll be well chuffed.

yes indeed nutella :) Coffee is just Illy but yeah. Their hot chocolate "espresso" however, that's a different story...insanely good. Not to mention their croissants/pain au chocolates.
