Sorry guys! xD a degree in lens based media and years of experience as a professional photographer means I can't not disagree with that. :(
(But please dont treat that snap as an example of my pre-meditated work!) :P

Loved my mk1 focus, but I didn't think it would go through the MOT so decided to go newer (10 years newer!)

I'm very happy, a great student car

Nice student motor! I was driving a 9 to 14 year old Citroen AX (as in used it for a while, not that I don't know it's age!), was over 200k on the clock by the time I finished uni.

It's not chromatic aberration, its a bad mix of light temperatures. Blue cool light from the window (right) and nasty energy saving bulb inside (left). This causes there to be no truly correct white balance for the whole image hence why the bias has gone to the cooler light temperatures. I can see how the out of focus areas combined with the cold blue highlights can easily be confused with chromatic aberration tho..

It was a quick gear snap, admittedly taken with a 24-70L.. Didn't expect to be scrutinised in the "Suff just bought" thread. ;)

It's due to a wide open aperture is it not (I'm talking about the pink fringing on the white for chromatic aberration) as this open happens for me when I shoot wide open...in full direct sunlight it happens, no artificial lights involved.

I was just mentioning it though, not scrutinising it (am now I guess). :p

Not trying to spoil the thread, was a quick, fairly light hearted comment about it, as Robbie says, it's a quick fix in Lightroom, but then if you just grab a jpeg off the camera it'll have it I suppose.

Anyway, a pic of something I bought today, sorry for the lack of DOF...

Don't you like the photo nerds spoiling the thread? :p Go buy something and do better. :D

They aren't spoiling it, its amusing. :p

I am looking for something which I intend on buying once I find one which isn't a totally ludicrous price, but it is incredibly boring.

I'm not seeing any magenta fringing on my screen. I will recalibrate my monitors, you've got me concerned! :P

But yeah pushing a zoom lens to its extremes of focal length and aperture is where optics and coatings show their true quality.

I see it around the "FUJINON" lettering on the lens and the "<--" by the switch with the red dot on it mostly but also partly the numbers on the lens top too. My monitor isn't calibrated mind. :p

Some rum, a glass tankard, some coke, and some overpriced cheese. :p
