As soon as you mention 'bay' windows anywhere the price increases exponentially for what is effectively the same product.

I've got bay windows in the sitting room and master bedroom, and at the moment it's a thin plastic curtain rail screwed to the ceiling which makes it nearly impossible to pull the curtains at all, let alone in under 10 minutes. I considered blinds, but what were you quoted for curtains?

Well for a proper curtain pole I was looking at anywhere from £150ish upto £400-500.

But it would also need multiple sets of curtains if I didn't want them on a rail and just a pole.

The cost was getting close to £600-£700 in total. So I tipped that for a game of soldiers and bought the 5 blinds and strategically positioned them so they overlap. I paid £130 in total for the blinds.

I have 3 with a longer drop but not as wide and 2 which are wider but a shorter drop. Works well :)

What's that Skyfall? Yes a bulb but what sort :p
Lifx bulb. Pretty awesome stuff but £80 for a single bulb is waaayyy to expensive.
I got it for £50 and have seen some going for £40 so not as bad.

At that price... I would expect the lighting to follow me around the house automatically if I had my phone on me, at least :p
I wanted a dimmable bulb and also wanted to try a sunrise alarm, those alarms are around £50 anyway so I figured it wasn't that bad of a deal.

But yes still expensive.

I had a good play with it last night and it's quite good... They really need to roll out the Lifx cloud portion of it though because it's still more limited than it should be.

I didn't see that, but then again I joked about buying some cheap knock-off ones a few days ago, the look I got would cut you.

Apparently the rose gold limited edition set are farrrrrrrr better at doing...whatever they do.

I have a pair of these sitting at home unopened, doing absolutely nothing. It was my best and worst Black Friday Purchase 2 years back. Cost me £73.

New toy for work, thankfully the software is nice to use and a lot better than the ancient POS I've had to use up until now.

We got some proper stuff fitted - metal track that is bent to fit perfectly - 2 bays cost £350 as i recall but it has been perfect for 6 years and worth every penny!

What is the matter with reasonably heavy duty plastic rails to go in a bay window. They work really well and cost us about £20 for the rails. I don't know if the blinds look better in person but in that picture they look pretty naff.
