They look really nice -- I have a pair of Sennheiser over ears and just can't get on with them and have been looking round for ages for some new on ear headphones --

I have these 20 yr old Sony ones which are totally disgusting -- But I found some foam ear covers - look like new now - sprayed old ones with fly spray and bleach and limescale cleaner and they will do for another 20 yrs

So spent £1.69

So ordered two more pair today for spares.

Were they bought with a Walkman?

I managed to get these for a bargain price. I do prefer over the ear phones. As these are open back, they do leak sound like crazy though. People in the house thought I was playing out on speakers, they will have to just deal with it. ;)

Please tell me they got into that state by simply being left to absorb the elements and not from actually being worn because that is quite rank and the fact that you washed and will re-use those tattered earpads man!

I bet if you looked at them via a microscope you'd see a living breathing world like Bart and Lisa's escapades in one episode :p

Yep, it was on sale for a silly good price £66! I got in there quickly and even managed to get two pairs by applying on the waiting list, sorry you missed out. The deal was a flash in the pan kind, was completely sold out very quickly.

Daily use I am afraid -:o - when you get to my age you become immune to dirt and bugs - :)- I just couldn't find any more I liked to wear - Can't even get replacement covers. Are you mad :eek:- no way will I take a close look- have you seen state of them - They sound good though

I have now cut some linen circles to put inside the new foam covers - :)

They are Sony MDR - S30 must be nearly 20yrs old. Never had a walkman.

Koss Porta Pro :D

Been going since the 80s and still on sale with lifetime warranty. There's no excuse any more and they sound amazing to boot!
