I have the BSG blurays and have to say they are really not worth it over the DVDs, season 3 is especially bad with the awful flicker :/

Looked great to me, mine didn't suffer from any flicker. The main complaint you do here is about the film grain but that's how it was always intended to look.

No issue with the grain for me, but a lot of scenes just don't show anything better than DVD quality and the flicker is awful on mine, seems like there were maybe some faulty discs, sadly I've had them long enough that it'll be a pain to return them, that said it doesn't make them unwatchable, if I had paid full price for them I'd have been steaming but I got the set for something silly like £12

GothicGhost, have you thought about dipping into the world of deactivated firearms? You can't beat handling the real thing - even if it can't shoot anything any more (probably for the best!).

Especially if you use a cashback site and could have had approx £40 per policy back in cash.

I've read many tales of airsoft guns shooting teeth out or the projectiles embedding in lips and things. They are not to be underestimated.

Very true, I Had mine shot out when I was 18 and a lot of my cheek/face nicely mashed up

Oh yes if I had more money I would love to collect deactivated firearms but at this time £400+ for a pistol to much for me lol.

Pistols start at about £175, but it depends upon what you want to collect. Shotguns are pretty cheap, starting at about £130. I got a Bren LMG for £350 earlier this year. Battle rifles are about £200 and upwards. It's great being able to handle the real thing but it's the history that goes along with these items that's really the amazing thing.
