true, its not really a picture :p

World Wide Arms are one of the biggest, as is D&B Militaria. Specialist Facebook selling groups are great too, as collectors often sell for lower prices than dealers. Otherwise, keep an eye on Gunstar, Milweb classifieds.

Do you know what you're interested in?

Thanks I will have a look.

I like bolt action rifles like the k98 or semi auto pistols post ww2 but would include the 1911 lol.

Been tempted by an ak on Gunstar before :D

WWA have a very nice batch of Soviet AKM's which is a good start. Decent AK47's now fetch good money. The cheaper end are Chinese or other pattern manufacturers. Nothing wrong with them they are just less desirable. The AKM's will become more valuable.

Mosin Nagants are a good buy as well. I do find on the deac Facebook groups people want either silly money or way below value and either you miss out or some do gooder tells them what it's really worth in which case you may as well buy from someone like WWA.

Speaking to the guys at a militaria stall the other week and they say there's little money in deacs as there's so many dealers the make £10 on an AK.

Make sure if you buy privately you get the deac cert and keep it safe. Remember it's 5 years behind bars if you get caught with a naughty gun of which you may not even know you have. The cert should be stamped and have the serial number of the weapon on it. The numbers should match.

It's a fun hobby and buying slings and bayonets makes it interesting and you really unless you massively overpay should see an increase in value. Many east European states and countries are melting 1000s down as they tighten up on their laws.

haha good answer. I know you're talking rubbish when you put St Mary's first though.
Yes, I live at the Abbey

St Mary's is delightful, Tresco seem to have ruined the scillies and the feel too it. Though it's still a delightful place, it's the commercialism of Tresco I don't like.

Although you could ask the good people whom run the Tresco Boat (Firethorn) if they'd like to sell it to me ;)

You working at the abbey then?

Then you'll be pleased to know Tresco have just bought Bryher boats and St Martins boats!!
Abbey, boats, lots of odd jobs
When did you visit?
