You not watched the video? It just becomes a pointy sharp misshapen thing with triangles sticking out all over which you then need to get back into a cube shape.
The objective isn't to get all sides the same colour, that would be a bit easy, as you say. The point is to make it into a cube from it's scrambled state. Unlike the Rubik's Cube, this is a shapeshifter, meaning it's not always a cube!...
