Ouch!

Yup, waiting on a decent case & screen protector = a lesson I learnt with the S4. First few weeks of that I managed to mess up the (inner) screen itself from a very small drop. The Gorilla Glass part was all perfect & intact... Seems it was only good at protecting itself

I think that as smartphones screens have grown bigger they have become more vulnerable to damage.

He was gutted as he had ordered a case and tempered glass screen protector but they arrived two days after it was damaged.

Yeah amazing to think in 25 years we have gone from I got paid £6,300 to go to Uni to having £40k in debt. That £6,300 is probably at £20k in today's moeny as well.

Yup... I strongly dislike it.

Also, the job market has changed in such a way that most anything over entry level requires a degree.

With the institutes changing their names to university, the value of degrees from all but the best red-bricks has devalued greatly in the process.

So the value has decreased dramatically and the cost has gone sky-high.

It's become practically mandatory.

Although, at least some of the better employers realise this and value experience over education.

Picked up a new laptop during the sales. I5, 8GB, 1TB HDD, full HD screen. Was £599, reduced to £430.

They tried on some lark about only having pre set up laptops for sale and it would be an extra £35. I told them to stuff it and they then conveniently realised that a delivery of them had just come in.

Is there any reason you can't come out of University and declare yourself bankrupt? Some of those figures are mental.

We'll soon only be able to afford healthcare and education if you're wealthy. Maybe that's the plan. Them and us. Keep the serfs where they are.

It's really just extra tax. It's not like a conventional loan at all and doesn't really affect your day to day life. I'm just looking forward to the day in 15 odd years when it's paid off I get a 9% pay rise out of the blue.

Blame labour thinking everyone should go to uni.

Wasn't it solely down to Blair's ideology? After all, him and Brown etc all got it for free. Then pulled up the ladder.

It's not real debt though is it?

It's not like it shows up on a credit report.

Try getting a mortgage with it.
