How old is the oldest? Massively over what I got when I was a kid, but we were always modest with presents.

hes 10 hes had a quad bike for a few years which he has outgrown so were going to get rid of that now.

the dirt bike is just a replacement for the quad but its something he's interested in and it gives us a common interest.

and yes we bought him all the proper protective gear

Surely it's a phase all parents go through? I know we certainly have with our kids, one year it took them 4 hours to open their presents, they literally had a room full of presents to open at their grandparents house.

Over the years (they are now 10 & 7) these things scale back massively as they want money/iTunes/MS codes for the xbox and the interest in toys becomes less and less.

I'd wager most of that stuf spends a lifetime in a box in his room and just doesn't get a lot of playing with, as he'll have his favourite thing to do and that's what he'll play with the most.

Hard to comment on whether SDK's toy stack is "enough" or not, without knowing the prices - I'd go on outright cost more than floor space - and I have no idea how much those toys cost so it's hard for me at least to make a judgement (for want of a better word). The PS4 I wouldn't count - I suspect that spends more time in grown up hands than the 4 yr old's.

We tend to buy our girls what we think they would like up to a monetary limit - usually £200 ish each - one is aged 10, the other is aged 6.

When I was 10 the ultimate present was a PS2. Now 10 year olds get a PS4 AND a dirt bike worth hundreds if not thousands! Lucky kid.

You should get points for having him interested in something other than what appears on a screen. :D

I like to try and get him out when the weather is good. we haven't had much time this year with the old quad it ran a big end which didint help so I had to rebuild the bottom end on it but got him out on it a few times.

my youngest lad will be 4 at the end of January I would have liked to have gotten him involved but hes had spinal operations and still has difficulties with his spine so sadly its not to be for him.

Oh no's, a parent has bought the kids lots of stuff, quick linch him.

How sad people are just because a parent has bought a good haul for their child. Just because they don't/can't do the same for their own.

I've got my 4 year old a 3ds xl with 8+ games, kettler go kart, electric scooter, wiggle scooter and probably 20 other bits and bobs like avenger figures, minion operation, monopoly etc etc. I work damn hard and my reward is getting my kid stuff, better feeling than anything i can buy for myself.

The whole point of this thread is to show your loot. I know haters gone hate.
