Strimmer/mower bits and a movie:

Seeing as it has been deemed a good enough bike to be ridden to Tour de France stage wins, I don't actually find the price tag that excessive.

It's excessive if the person isn't using it in the Tour de France.

Much like you don't need a Formula One car to drive to work.

Am sure lots of us has spent that kind of money on stuff we enjoy and hobbies..

I payed over 10k for my motor bike with all the accessories when I bought it brand new years ago.
Last year I spent around 5k on just nitro remote control cars with all the extra's I wanted for them..(Must admit I regret it a little bit now as I mainly loss all interest in them over the winter months)

I would hate to think how much I spent on PC hardware through the years..:(

I'm sure a few on here have PC's that cost more than that. They'll be overpowered most of the time as well. Just what you enjoy. I've paid £3k for a workstation/synth keyboard before.

Look at what some people on here spend on watches, cameras, guitars, PCs, cars (messing about with them, not just the purchase price) etc etc etc - if its your hobby / interest and you have the money - why not ?
