In a few mins you will have a chance to grab a 6800 or 3060Ti

If confirmation comes before 6800xt starts selling, I don't really mind, as I could snag 6800xt instead.

P.S. You all moan about price mark up, but you missed the sly move by Gibbo trying to sell the 3D printers :D :D
That is great marketing move, there.
-Are we not selling any 3D printers? Let's put some GPUs in there... :D

Ordered a 3070 but then realised my delivery address is still set to my old work place. Did not see an option to get this changed anywhere and spent a while on the phone.. then I realised £650 is waay too much. I filled in the cancellation form instead.
I think I will wait till prices normalise or wait for an FE edition.. maybe better to even get a 3090FE then pay overpriced for another card.
Good decision.

People not voting with their wallet are the reason why we are where we are now :)

I would sooner pay nvidia direct for a 3090 than pay for an overpriced card from greedy etailers taking advantage of the situation today.

Its the best you could do. Took me 3 months get the card I wanted. I even bought a card for stupid money but decided to just wait it out.

We actually never plan to sell any 3D printers, it seemed the safest section as its an area of the site with no traffic and a product we never push or particular want to push, 3D printers are way more trouble than they are worth.

Why uk mainland only when i can order anything else and have it sent to belfast with no problem? Makes zero sense, just select shipping for the parts that most people are after??

But that's the point - people DID (and still do) vote with their wallet. They voted for higher prices and I reckon this is exactly what we will get next gen (3k Super series and/or 4000 series etc.), along with currently visible pricing. Currently, there's 0 reason to think these will drop at all Q1, if even at all this year.

With everyone and their cat upgrading this year, next year might see record low demand.

It's almost impossible to predict but there are reasons it could go either way.

Demand is supper crazy at the moment for multiple reasons. When demand drops prices will drop!

Today you put huge amount of exposure on these items, you might see some orders :D I say, brilliant move :D

I might just print the externals of a 3080 and whack it into my PC and pretend...
That would be much cheaper in the long run :D Imagine how much electricity you would save :D

You know what I mean :p

If people didn't pay these prices in the first place, we wouldn't have "scalpers" and etailers/manufacturers wouldn't be sticking their prices up too.

And yup, prices/market won't return to normal anytime soon if people don't take action now, I suspect next year is when things will start to go back to normality unless crypto crashes hard again....

I reckon it all really depends of how good next gen cards will be in comparison to current gen. 2k series were almost no upgrade comparing to 1k series, hence sell numbers were really low for NVidia. They seem to have learned the lesson.
It's like with mobile phones - most people do not need to upgrade each yer, yet a lot of people do. And so prices just grow up all the time.

I haven't upgraded in 6 years, still with my 980ti that cost £540 in 2015. Wish nvidia would go back to that period, where good flagship cards weren't outrageously expensive. Its still a good card today, will be nice to double its performance with a 6800 6800xt upgrade.
