"Inbox me"

Does this drive anyone else up the wall? Since when is "inbox" a verb? Why can't these people say "send me a message" or "send me a pm" or something more conventional? What's wrong with these people?

First brexit, then Trump, and now this

The world's gone mad I tell you!

Cause its 2 words verus a lot of words

Agreed Diddums - "inbox me" gets my goat as well. It seems to be isolated to Facebook users. The girls in my my office... "oh yeah, that bloke inboxed me an hour ago..."

Makes me wish we'd go back to the 80s in some respects when we used computers properly. "Properly" like in programming, 8-bit games, homework, robot arms (remember those?) and ofc bulletin boards were around back then too :-) I would retain some elements of nowaday computing too like home shopping (Tesco, Argos, Amazon etc), railway/bus times, email, updated computer graphics, Hampsterdance, but ditch the impersonal social network / social media / whatever crap :p

I just say PM me (if it's a forum), or otherwise, email me. They're both 2 words.

Don't see the issue with it to be honest.

I say 'Shoot me an email' or 'Ping me an email' personally. :p

Serious response: "Inbox me" is a phrase used to differentiate between what you would otherwise say, which is "message me", so they don't think you mean send me a text message - which is what message me normally refers to. Hope that helps!
