Agreed Diddums - "inbox me" gets my goat as well. It seems to be isolated to Facebook users. The girls in my my office... "oh yeah, that bloke inboxed me an hour ago..."
Makes me wish we'd go back to the 80s in some respects when we used computers properly. "Properly" like in programming, 8-bit games, homework, robot arms (remember those?) and ofc bulletin boards were around back then too

I would retain some elements of nowaday computing too like home shopping (Tesco, Argos, Amazon etc), railway/bus times, email, updated computer graphics, Hampsterdance, but ditch the impersonal social network / social media / whatever crap
I just say PM me (if it's a forum), or otherwise, email me. They're both 2 words.
