Inception - July 16th

Got tickets booked to see this on Monday with the wife... Really looking forward to it. Haven't been to the cinema in ages (kids, yo), so this should be a good one for a one off trip.

We've seen all of Nolan's films, bar the first one, and loved them, so we've got high hopes for this.

i cannae believe it, went to pictures with 4 mates yesterday to watch this...

Qeues around the block outside, completely sold out.. no go... its like been out for 4 weeks!!!!

ended up having to go bowling instead:/ oldest ppl there...and i sucked my best score was 125. and thats cos the mchine cheated me a strike when i didnt get a strike!

Probably like that because of Orange Wednesdays...

What happened to the original Architect? I understand he tried to sell out to Saito? But then what.

I really wanted to hate this film when I went to see it, but in reality it was almost far too easy to do so.

Riddle me this: Why did the guy need to place explosives under the lift?

He needed to produce the kick to wake them back into stage 1. He couldn't produce the kick because they were experiencing freefall from falling in the van.

What I assume is that once back in Stage 1 they would have had to hang around for the rest of the time there - a week in stage 1? 10 hours in reality.

They could still wake Cobb and Saito by pushing them over because they were still sensitive to their inner ear balance. I guess by the time Cobb and Saito were woken their brains would be mushed.

why when they come out at the end and are back on the plane does the fischer not recognise them ? from in his dream

Because it was a dream. He probably thought he had some some crazy-ass dream and it seemed to include the people who were on the plane, probably because they were the last people he saw before sleeping.

i need to watch it again but i thought that the first time you see people come out of the dream state, they were aware of each other and that they were in the same dream

Saito was aware of who they were at the start of the film, but it's likely because he was extremely highly trained and knew who Cobb was/had heard of Cobb and his team.

Fischer was trained, but not nearly to the degree that Saito was, and they'd used multiple layers for the first time (well, not Cobb's first time) to disguise that they were dream operators (cant remember the name).

I don't get it, once the van hits the water it provides the kick, and everyone wakes up regardless what 'stage' they're at, surely? Especially so for Stages 1 and 2 because the 'kick' from stage 1 would instanteanously provide the kick for Stage 2.

Meh, don't care anymore, it's nonsense.

After seeing it in the BFI imax on wednesday I can honestly say that it was the best cinema experience i've had in my life. I was actually speechless during the credits.

No,

And don't call it nonsense cause you're thick :p

Well all of Cobb's team would be aware of each other etc, as thats the whole point of what they do. And with the very first dream at the start with Saito he was aware as he had worked out what was going on within each of his dreams, plus the fact that he knew what they did and wanted to hire them. I think :)

It's not nonsense just because you can't understand it, the film clearly explained that you need a separate kick for each level of dreams.

Something that escaped me, they were weightless in the falling van and thus weightless in the next stage with the lift - why were they not weightless in any stages after that?
