He was deemed to have lifted enough as he passed Massa.

Also the flashing yellow after the incident came up erroneously.

Seems fair to me.

Race is at 9.30am.

wasnt sure how far behind he accident he was. it seem it happened only seconds ahead of him. cant really react to that.

exactly - he was already in the same corner at the instance of Massa's impact with the barrier, and even then the telemetary (according to him) will indicate he backed off also, totally non- issue -and in no way compares to Perez /Hamilton on Friday

Just hoping the car comes back to him with full fuel like it was on Fri / Sat AM for the race, otherwise all those who he is fighting for 2nd in the championship will score major points

I REALLY hope SV doesnt gift the win to MW so that the latter gets a helping hand to get 2nd, SV is all about the stats lets just see if it stays that way.....

edit - well done to RB for 16 poles in a season , but its really only a record because of the number of races there are this season, MUCH harder to get 15 poles out of 16 (which I think McLaren did years ago , but happy to be corrected) than what it is today - 18 out of 19 would be comparable in my book (although technically more difficult because there are more opportunities to fail)

Well done. 16 poles in one season! The boys in MK msut be mighty proud! This is a car that people will still speak about in 10 years time. One of the very best in the modern F1 era

I read in an interview that Vettel feels that last year's car had a bigger advantage.

The difference this year, is that Vettel has progressed into the top tier of F1 drivers. For me, only Alonso is better...no one else.

I believe what Vettel is saying, because if you look at Webber, you can see that the RBR is a beatable car, BUT the driver piloting the rival car has to be in top form. The big problem has been that Alonso's Ferrari has been lacking and Hamilton (just isnt the same driver he once was).

Should you not react to that even more? He admitted he had seen an incident up ahead. He could not have judged what had happened or what was round the corner. It could have been very dangerous so you could argue he should have slowed down a lot.

Hamilton knew about the incident as it had happened quite a few laps before and probably knew it had been cleared and could have quite conceivably been confused by the green light ahead of him and the fact that the yellow warning had gone on his steering wheel.

Why is the yellow flashing light a mistake for button, but the yellow flags werent for Hamilton even though the yellow warning had gone from the drivers steering wheel as well as the tv feed thing at the top!?

Stinks of double standards to be honest.

Was Button aware that was the only incident on the track? Surely for all he knew there had been something else further ahead? Completely speculative as I don't know where he was in the sector or where the flags were.

With all the accidents recently, they really do need to clamp down on drivers not slowing down for the flags.

This is my thinking. All he could have possibly seen was a puff of dust and couldnt have been 100% sure as to what really happened.
