Indian Grand Prix 2011, Buddh International Circuit - Race 17/19

I read in an interview that Vettel feels that last year's car had a bigger advantage.

The difference this year, is that Vettel has progressed into the top tier of F1 drivers. For me, only Alonso is better...no one else.

I believe what Vettel is saying, because if you look at Webber, you can see that the RBR is a beatable car, BUT the driver piloting the rival car has to be in top form. The big problem has been that Alonso's Ferrari has been lacking and Hamilton (just isnt the same driver he once was).

Vettel would say that it makes him look better. I'd say that if I was vettel. It's pretty clear this years car is a step above last years by the gaps and pace they have when required.

The difference this year is MW knows he's a no2. Last year he thought he had equal billing and a 100% shot at the title.

Vettel is likely better and more confident than last year, to say last years car was further ahead than this years must be a dry german sense of humour.

will button stay ahead of hamilton at the start?

i dont think there is a clean side and a dirty side here is there? they are both just dirty sides as the line along the pit straight is a diagonal one.

surly if massas front wing is scraping the ground it is braking the rule that the wind must be xxxmm off the ground. but it passes the fia tests so they dont care? even tho its clearly sparking on the floor?

I reckon there will be no big winners and losers, such a wide circuit should help stop any first corner incidents.....hahahahahahah nice to wish innit!

Unless I'm completely blind, although the entrance to the corner is 21m wide or so, the apex is just over two car widths wide, so it is still a major bottleneck.

no one will want to be offline either because of all the dust can you imagine the difference in brekaing difference offline? its going to be huge

always found it a little strange that Parc Ferme rules allow a car to be totally re-built and start in their quali position

Surely thats the wing he broke yesterday isnt it? (it surely didnt come out of that crash in tact?)

They replaced his wing before quail for a less bendy one, but that obviously is now broke.
Under FIA rules they must either start him from the pit lane (as they have no more of the same wing, it was a test unit) or use any wing which they previously used during practice.. ie: the stupid super bendy one.

It passed all the FIA tests, twice (Ferrari even took it back after FP1 to be re tested because it was flexing so much, way more then they expected) so i can't see any reason why they won't be allowed to use it.

Nope, there's a link I posted in #299 which explains it.
