Indian Grand Prix 2011, Buddh International Circuit - Race 17/19

3 places is quite lenient, F1 and motorsport really needs a safe weekend, ignoring double yellows is pretty bad IMO

So is the green flashing go\ok light an aid as well then? you can't have it both ways.

OK...

If the FIA have given Hamilton and Perez a penalty for ignoring waved yellow flags, then assume they haven't just made it up, that means there was some waved yellow flags out on track.

That trumps any dash lights, or track lights, or fans holding up big signs telling them to just ignore them. The flags are waved for the drivers and marshals safety. If the were there, they should be obeyed.

So if the green flashing light turns red and there are no red flags waving the drivers should still go on? this is where your post fails
as you would know that if it was raining you wont see the flags but you will see the lights on the dashboard and track.

When they come from turn 15 to face the final corner turn 16 all cars are facing the BIG green light.
The yellow flags was on the left which a driver could not see...even 5live said all should be ok.

FP1 was red flagged because there was a dog on the track? Lol. That'll go down well if it happens in the race.

And yet more inconsistency from the stewards.

This is just a route to yet another pointless Hamilton argument, so I'm going to back away now and just leave you to it.

P2 is on. Lets go!

What is inconsistent about it?

Suppose you got say they should get more, think Alonso and MS got 5 place drops when they did it, last time I remember the FIA punishing this sort of thing.
Inconsistency was the wrong word. But it's a stupid decision IMO. A fine would have been more appropriate due to the circumstances of the driver's dash warning system not giving the same information as the circuit flags.

Aaand Pasta runs out of talent, again.

I am sure they can see double yellow flags waving? We know Lewis can't see in his mirrors but if he now can't see marshall flags then we have a big problem....circuit flags take priority and every driver will know that.

Double yellow means back right off and be prepared to stop if needed, marshalls will be on the track, you do not ignore that.

The front wing was scraping the floor of massa car he came in but did not change it but the pit crew adjusted it and he went back out
And then came back in a few laps later to change the front wing. It was all over the place. Watch P1 and you will see it and you will hear that the FIA was at the Ferrari.
