The dash lights are an aid, the driver should still obey any flags being waved.
So is the green flashing go\ok light an aid as well then? you can't have it both ways.
3 places is quite lenient, F1 and motorsport really needs a safe weekend, ignoring double yellows is pretty bad IMO
Did you watch P1 live or are you going on what you read?
OK...
If the FIA have given Hamilton and Perez a penalty for ignoring waved yellow flags, then assume they haven't just made it up, that means there was some waved yellow flags out on track.
That trumps any dash lights, or track lights, or fans holding up big signs telling them to just ignore them. The flags are waved for the drivers and marshals safety. If the were there, they should be obeyed.
And yet more inconsistency from the stewards.
So the FIA are looking into Ferraris 2012 front wing they tested in P1.

Inconsistency was the wrong word. But it's a stupid decision IMO. A fine would have been more appropriate due to the circumstances of the driver's dash warning system not giving the same information as the circuit flags. What is inconsistent about it?
Suppose you got say they should get more, think Alonso and MS got 5 place drops when they did it, last time I remember the FIA punishing this sort of thing.
