Inno3D Discussion Thread

HUH? No one to date so far as I'm aware has ever managed to get an Inno RTX3080 tofall over in testing the way the other cards did. The issue turned out to be with the drivers and not the caps, so why would this be an issue?

The quality is probably better than most other AIBs, take a look at the use of allen bolts so you can remove the fan assembly and clean the fins, much nicer than many others
What are you on about my dude

Well firstly I'm not a 'Dude'and I'm certainly not your Dude !

You referenced a video with a time which refered to the capacitors on the back of the Inno RTX3080 and then said you were concerned about quality I tried to ally your concerns hence my post.

Yes I'm talking about the hardware look bads, why are you talking about software and saying that capacitors didn't effect the card.
I never said that quality of capacitors soldered to the pcb causes problems.

got an update today that said i went from que number 14-13 for the inno3d x2 OC 3070, and idea if they received any today to send out or if this is just a cancellation?
I've been at 1 in the queue for that card for a week at least and haven't been sent one so I'd guess it was a cancellation rather than them getting stock

I think what he meant was that the capacitors were not soldered onto the PCB straight. I have to agree that I would not be happy with that quality (or what seems, lack of) of soldering on a card I've spent almost £1k on. Surely they should all be level and straight should they not?

Yeah!!! You know what I'm on about lad.

The smaller capacitors not being lined up is a cosmetic issue only caused by surface tension in the way the solder melts. They perhaps should have chosen a nicer looking one for the photos it is not indicative of quality issues in any way.

Queue update last night btw
I am now 59th for 3080 x3

idk if that because of cancellations or shipment. I have seen any updates from Gibbo regarding shipments

I’ve gone from 55 to 43 but purely through people losing their nerve rather than shipments. Given this appears to be a fictional card I’ll probably join them!

I ordered a MSI 3080 X-Trio cards on launch day pretty early on in the day, there was an "expected tomorrow" whereas everything else said no stock (or something to this effect basically). About 3-5 days later (can't remember exactly how long as this launch feels like it was a lifetime ago), it was announced, or should I say that we were quietly made aware via a forum post that this was an error from OCUK's end, and I spoke with them on the phone. They told me that I could be waiting for a 3080 until December, so they ACTUALLY ADVISED ME to change my order to an Inno3d 3080 as I'd have less time to wait for one as there were only 30 something orders at that point. I have been within and around P10 for weeks now. The last update I got I moved up a single spot, so yeah, recently, people are cancelling rather than getting shipments.

Fun fact: I would have gotten a 3080 if I kept my order for the MSI card by now.

I’m genuinely more than happy to wait, I just need to know that I’m waiting for something tangible rather than waiting for an apology!

I share your sentiment. I just honestly wish there was better, and more open communication. I'm really happy they are sending email updates of queue position information, but there is much more that can be done. The last update I can see regarding Inno3d was that there was a communication error and they updated the 3080 buyers saying cards were on the way when in-fact they meant it was a 3070 shipment on the way, that was days ago now and nothing else has been said (I don't think).

I have ordered the Inno3D GeForce RTX 3070 Twin X2 OC 8GB, but apart of a drop of 1 ( from 17 to 16) nothing happened. I'd love to receive just a bit more info about the current situation with Inno3D stock.

I see Inno have launched a watercooled card they are calling the 'frostbite', but the comment on it sums up everyones feeling, what's the point when you can't even supply the cards you've launched weeks ago ?

Updating on Queue positions is nice, but if not a single card has been sent from OC (3080 x3's & x4's) and no word on when they will become available, that queue position means nothing. We definitely need to get word from OC after they have spoken with Inno. How can you list an item for sale or preorder when you have no idea when it will be in stock, quite frankly as it stands OC are no better than those scalpers on ebay that put up listings without having the actual card.

I thought there was a batch sent

HI, I order one yesterday. How did you get your queue number? It seems each user can only buy one rtx3080? I tried multiple times buying for another one, but failed.
