The gamer uses the same PCB as other DC2 670's Asus make, only difference being the gamer has a free mouse mat with it.

can someone tell me if the hardocp review for having 4gb is wrong?
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013...670_directcu_ii_4gb_sli_review/9#.UgZgopKQm27

I'm thinking of getting the 4gb 670 using a 180p 120hz 3d monitor. I will use it in sli and will games like skyrim etc or ones with plenty of mods benefit from 4b?

thanks

I currently use 90 mods with skyrim, i use max of 2.3gb vram so if you can afford the 4gb then go for it.

It may be overkill but it won't be a bad choice to go for, there isnt a reason not to get it if you can afford the extra 2gb

Currently have 6950(unlocked to 6970) xfire, how big a step up will the 680/770(unless I've miss understood what I've read aren't the 680 and 770 similar in terms of performance?) be? And will the 680/770 be able to handle the dell u2711(2560x1440 res) or will sli be needed? What about the 780?

I have 2500k at the min but looking to get the 4670k/4770k as my PC is currently on the fritz so thought it'd be the perfect excuse to upgrade to has well.

Hope I get an answer this time as I never got an answer the last time I asked this question like a month or so ago.

Thanks for feedback gibbo... Ive taken the plunge on a "standard" asus 670 though as I can fit the bigger one into this LAN case... Dont want to miss out with the price rise!

Well big surprise no answer to my post, good thing I wasn't thinking of getting any of the graphics cards on offer or else I'd have missed out due to lack of reply.

You are better off asking the question in the Graphics forum.

All of the questions you can readily answer yourself by using a free resource such as "google"..

Maybe people think you should DYOR. There are many dependencies to "will it be enough".. ie what are you going to use it for? Same question to do you need SLI - how do I know! Put no effort into the question, why should you get a stack of effort in replies?

Yes you need SLI because your desktop res is 2560 x 1440. Does that answer your question :D

Your loss missing out :D
