***** INSANITY WEEKEND AT OcUK: ASUS GTX 670's 2/4GB's AT LOWEST PRICES EVER!! *****

Well big surprise no answer to my post, good thing I wasn't thinking of getting any of the graphics cards on offer or else I'd have missed out due to lack of reply.

I can't answer as to be honest I am unsure of the answer, so I'd rather not answer in case I give the wrong response. As previously said, why not make a dedicated thread in graphics with your question.

For anyone who missed out, I shall repeat the offer tomorrow for 24hrs. :)

All of the questions you can readily answer yourself by using a free resource such as "google"..

Maybe people think you should DYOR. There are many dependencies to "will it be enough".. ie what are you going to use it for? Same question to do you need SLI - how do I know! Put no effort into the question, why should you get a stack of effort in replies?

Yes you need SLI because your desktop res is 2560 x 1440. Does that answer your question :D

Your loss missing out :D

Well I could Google it but thought there might be some 'kind soul' who knew the answer or have a link to a site which does as they happened to have been looking for answer to same similar question etc, well I guess I was wrong there(about the kind soul).

As to what I'd use it for, well having xfire I sure as hell wouldn't be using it for web browsing/spreadsheet etc ;)

And for handling the 1440 res I mean at high/ultra with decent frame rate for recent/new games so would assume the 680 would require sli but not sure on the 780.

I'm planning on waiting to see what amd bring out with their new graphics card before upgrading, also am looking at upgrading to haswell so will be spending £300-£500(dependent on 4670k/4770k and motherboard) so no GPU upgrade at the moment.

BTW if I was looking at getting the 680, which is better the MSI power edition or the Asus in this deal?

My personal pref is for asus purely based on fan noise, the DC II cooler is amazing.... If noise is important to you then get that one.. My observation of MSI (TF IV and TF III etc etc ) is that as good as they are at keeping the card cool, they are noisy.
