Well My issue's with my internet dropping (packet errors) & random sync probs continue, 02 have been very helpfull running tests but sadly I think its come maybe requiring a new line.
When BT install a new line do they take it from the pole to the green box then to the house?
has anyone had any issues with new lines like are they better? basically I had a great connection with BT till last year & they messed in the green box when connecting BT vision & my line became unstable then. I moved over to adsl24 after that on a 2mb fixed & it was perfect but now on 02 the line is behaving the same as it did last may which has led me to believe a fault. I've replaced the internal wiring, tried a filtered faceplate, replaced all inline filters, used several routers, had 2 lift & shifts at the exchange & finally been in the test socket.
I'm getting a slightly higher sync in the test socket & was asked to leave my router connected in the test socket by O2 tech support whilst they ran a 24hr quality test, test came back with background noise. This noise was not a constant noise but a variable one which they said could be causing this issue & sync drops & packet loss.
Really would a new line fix all these issues? dont care if I dont get a full speed just want a stable line.
any advice is good
