Instant sacking -- worth complaining?

Why did he go to the pub!? i bet it was his boss's local aswell haha!

He's not really 100% all there upstairs.

I mean -- he has a wierd attitude to work probably instilled in him by his dad. If he wakes up and fancies it, he thinks it's acceptable to just think 'Don't think I'll bother with work today' and not go!

Needless to say, he's never held down a job for very long.
He thinks work is a thing which should only be bothered with if 'You're head's right and you're up for it'. And looks at me like I'm a wierdo if I say something like 'I really wish I didn't have work tomorrow' and then go to work! With him he would NEVER do this -- each morning is a serious decision as to whether he's gonna bother that day or not ...!

I got sacked out of the blue one time. Letter personally stuck through the door by his wife half an hour after I came home from work! :o No reason given or no phonecall or meeting. I had to phone up myself and ask what was happening etc to which he told it was not feasible to tell me. He even paid me 13 days too late and he also gave me £240 too little. I have a suspicion why it all happened but oh well.

But hey I was only employed there for 11 months so I didn't have any rights at all. So I doubt your friend has any :p I think there is a lack of rights for people who are not employed for a long time.

Hahaha he's been Own3d

Tell him to move on and get and get another job, and the next time he decides to pull a sickie tell him to keep his head down, stay in doors and make sure he is past the trial period.
