Insurance

Main point is tha 1.25 can be had for a similar price to the 1.3, in my eyes its well worth the extra money, the 1.3 is alright but why take second best when for so little more you can have so much more.

told you about the flaming...........1.25 zetec had a roof ,locking ,alloys ,and psteering. on a 98 (s) sold for £2000. daughters was a 1.3 frascati. roof/psteering/locking/f,windows electric, +twin airbags. bought by daughter £800 95 (n) she was getting around 30 mpg and the zetec the same. i still stand by what i said dont give the 1.3 its last rites until you have owned one.and before you discuss prices, i sold the zetec and my daughter bought the frascati from a private punter out of the autotrader. had i have sold that i probably would have been asking nearer £1k.

the main point here is dont buy from pictures, go and look at the vehicles and test drive them. my daughter is fairly tall and could not get the seat in the zetec to adjust properly. she was never very comfortable in it. that is why she chose the frascati, felt more at home . (never once complained about lack of speed, if anything it was always us telling her to slow down  )

Well I've found a Ghia for £895 :D and got a quote on insurance for £13xx so not bad that was TPFT the Ghia is 96 1.25 so hopefully if the milage ain't way too high might go view it.

Errr, isn't the Frascati a Mk3? Far and a way a fundamentally inferior car to the Mk4?

Blimey I thought it was hard to justify a 1.3 Mk4 over a 1.25 Mk4 but a Mk3?

I personally would write-off the 1.3 engine. Tracing its routes to the 50's, it's a horrible engine relative to the Yamaha designed Sigma unit - not even comparable in any way, shape or form. Having driven both, I can tell you there really is a huge difference between a Fiesta with a 1.3L and a Fiesta with a 1.25L.
