What an excellent mod, although there are a few little niggles that are more and more annoying.

1. Your soldier moves like a broken shopping trolley.
2. Everything seems to be surrounded with an invisible layer.
3. Way too much TK'ing on some servers.

Beyond that, I love it.

I like the way your movement is restricted when running, thats much better then being able to turn 90 degrees with no notice when running full pelt in combat gear & holding a 4 foot assault rifle.

Standing still its the same as any other game for me

Well I have just spent best part of 3 hours on the G90 server and had a great time, good mature bunch of ppl working as a team and having fun!!

best score was 138 - I'll deff being going on there agin for another session

I play as Optimus btw

Anyone know when the next patch is due out?

EDIT: Just notice xfire picks up this mod too now....result

hi,
your spec is close to one of the pc's im using...
has no problem running it at all, however i use 1024 x 768 res and textures on medium. (from what i can remember )
give it a try, its a good mod

Its taking some real getting used to for me, there is no map which means that when someone says they need help at point A i have no idea where im going unless the commander makes it an order.

When you join some servers you can only choose to be a sapper, the shotgun is pap for any kind up combat unless its point blank range.

There is not any real user manual that explains point scoring etc, at least that i could find. I got moral points for capturing a point but have no idea what they do.

Just tried playing this, tried 3 servers (ocuk, g90 and some other) and it said my map differed from the servers and wouldn't let me join :confused:

then i tried another and it just crashed

i just clicked on internet gaems and the server list had one called the O.C.U.K server but i cba'd to go look and im not sure but i'll find out soon

Can we get an OcUK night for insurgency going at some point. Maybe every 2 weeks or so using Steam Community to invite and stuff?

There is the rate command also, net_graph 2 shows choke and loss

The right figures would depend on the server itself and how often it updates which is the tick rate I think.

For the settings you mention you can set it right upto 100, sometimes I try 20 of one and 30 the other with max rate which is 25000.

I always get choke no matter what (since a steam update in jan 06) but the amount does depend on the server and its tick rate

iirc in 1.6 the cmd + update max was 101(the extra 1 being for error checking or something along those lines) and max rate was 25000, this was infact to be taken with a pinch of salt, as it would only work if sv_lan = 1, max online rate would be 18000, and update+cmd would be 80 respectably.
Something like that.
All depends generally on ISP, server, server config and time of day really =/
