Integra Project

Well yesterday morning (Saturday) the last remaining bits turned up that's i'd been waiting for. i'll probably make a decent post about it tomorrow but I managed to get it built, back in the car and running in about 24 hours. Beats the 9 months of last time.

pictures for now :)

Now for sale.

Thats good going fella :D

For sale?!

I don't get it, put all this time and effort it then get rid of it.

Nice to see she's running again Neil :) Shame to hear that you're selling though, I guess you kinda lose patience with a car after rebuilding the engine twice though, eh? Any ideas whether it was rings or stem seals?

Si's car is looking nice these days isn't it :)

I'm not sick of the car, far from it, I just want something a little newer, a little faster and more importantly something different. I can't explain why, I just think it's time for pastures new.

Si's car is looking good at the moment, more to the point is that it goes like stink. He's been painting a mate's Starlet this week that he can't do much with though. Also, his new MG is really nice. I want my own garage :(

Pardon?

Current shortlist is Elise / s2000 / Evo8. I'm off to test drive an Elise on Saturday so we'll see how that goes.

Back into an Integra? Quite possibly. It'll be time to buy a house in the not too distant future, so I may end up with another as a cost saving exercise, they cost buttons to run really :)

They always come back. Whether it's a Scooby, Evo, S2000, DC5, whatever...they always come back. :p

(Not sure about Elise though, you may well stay there :D)

After a DC2? Wouldn't be much different, handles just as well, just as fast, but less raw and more refined.

Evo 8 sounds good:D

What exhaust manifold is that Neil?

I quite like the idea of a turbocharged engine next, we'll see how it goes on a test drive i suppose.

The manifold is just an unbranded one, I had it acid dipped then spent a couple of hours polishing it because im a pervert with OCD :o

Well the car is in having a small paint crack on the sill painted at the moment. The jacking point bent over about 2 years ago and the jack cracked the paint, lovely, excellent quality on the jacking point too. Anyway, it's in been sorted so the whole car is tip top before it goes on sale.

While this was being sorted I decided to give the sill behind the skirt a little wipe down as it was grotty...... this soon progressed into me being on my back thoroughly cleaning the whole underside of the car :(

It's came up amazingly well for a 12 year old car with 100k miles on it:

Good news is that there isn't even a hint of rust on the sills or arches where Honda's are bad for it. Solid as a rock
