Integra Project

Quick update, I've now done 670 ish miles in the car and it's been spot on. The only issue now is the oil leak, which is very small and i've traced it, so that'll be sorted next weekend. I'm really happy with the way the car drives, which is ace as I was expecting loads of little niggles to iron out. This morning was time for it's first oil change:

I checked the oil level at home, then drove to my mate's garage to change it....

Ooops, forgot to put the oil cap back on. Good job it's only a couple of miles there. :p

Old oil container and new. The Silkolene is roughly 6 x the price of the other garbage i've been using to run it in with.:D

New filter on

I put the new oil in then decided to take the old filter apart to see what goodies I could find.

Ho ho ho, what's this?

Hmmm, bits of engine

The actual filter element itself is pretty big, considering Honda filters are dead small.

Kapow!

Bet you've never seen as many photos for an oil change before :p

Looks great, really like these cars. They always seem to look in A1 condition in photos, despite being pretty old now.

Just wish they weren't group 20 :(.

Makes me miss my old civic :( They're such easy cars to work on, and a lot of fun to drive. Was building it for track, paid for an ITR engine and gearbox which i ended up getting screwed on, so abandoned the project and bought the 200.
Nice project :)

Looks awesome! Im sure ive seen yours about!

You won't have, there's another one very similar from over Newcastle.

Most of the miles i've done in mine so far have been Washington > Sunderland or Washington > Consett, infact I don't even think i've been over Newcastle in it :)

That's the other one I know of local ish

I often see a couple around Kingston Park. The Rota slipstreams are soo overdone now!

That's where he's from, round that way I think.

Slip's are awesome, just copies of Spoon SW388 wheels, they're nice and light too. Mine have Bridgestone RE720s on at the moment that i'm not too keen on, what i'll probably do next month is swap the Bridgestones onto my Mondeo as there's loads of meat left on them and get something else for the Integra :)

There's no way this is going to take me 9 months :o

3 hours start to finish getting the engine out by myself (including butty break) Things are so much easier in a proper garage. A friend of mine who I think AGW will know from rovertech kindly let me use his unit for the day.:D

Anway, so it starts again.
