Ok, thanks for that, i'll keep my eye out, from what i've been looking at a 330ci might be a good "car after next car" but i'll see what i can find on ph and auto trader :)

In my Integra, for putting £40 V Power in I get around 260 miles to a tank. That's 80% motorway (cruise 80/90) the rest country lane blasts.

If you're after a fantastic all round car that can make you grin from ear to ear, it's very hard to beat I think.

Christ I must be getting old as they aren't that bad to insure for me :( Just did a quote, albeit on a uk turbo, £350 fully comp. Goes up to £390 with protected ncb, I pay £300 for the Clio!

Sounds not too bad then, so with about 80% motorway cruising it comes out at about 28-30mpg, hmm, not so bad, abour 13 less than what i'm getting right now.
 
Sadly due to crappy weather and my mum's car breaking down, and being sold (:() i ended up as a taxi today and didn't get to try out the RX8 :(

In terms of Integras, aside from the obvious speedo and the front end, what are the other major differences between UK Integras & JDM's? Can't seem to find a list :eek:

UKDM : 15" 5-stud wheels
+ Proper brakes
+ Cheapest to insure
- Only 187bhp
- Lots of UK winters = greater rust potential

JDM '98 : 16" 5-stud wheels
+ Proper brakes
+ 200bhp
+ Firmer setup
+ Least like to be rusty :p
+ Easiest to find a good one if you have the £££

- Most expensive to buy
- Most expensive to insure
- Firmer setup not necessarily the best for UK roads
- Heaviest

And about a million and three details, read the itr-dc2 thread carefully ;)

forget the mr2/supra/nsx/integra then as they arent really practical or everyday cars.

what about a fiat coupe 20vturbo?dont laught at the fiat name,it will blitz every car on that list asside from the supra and you can pick good un up for £4k with not too many miles.great forum too asside from mods being a bit heavy handed and infantile.i used to have one and was a great car,big boot,reliable and pretty economical for 220bhp.downside maybe fwd but you learn to drive round it.

jammy git.for a full tank which is 63 litres so about £68ish for super unleaded i average about 320-330miles in the m3 evo.thats 200 mile round trip to newcastle and back(80mph most of way with odd blat) on the A1 and then city driving.not that bad for a 320bhp car weighing 1500kg:)

Agreed - Kate could not get cover for an Impreza, yet insurers are perfectly happy to entrust her with a twitchy 200bhp RWD coupe which she has a much much higher chance of ploughing through a bus stop full of children.

Well, as much as i agree and disagree (I can see your point on the NSX/MR2 and maybe Supra, but i would maybe think of the Integra as something pretty easy to do day to day stuff with) with your opinions, i have to say i've never really considered the Fiat Coupe, i know it is a good car, the main trouble i have with that, isn't the badge, its just getting my head around the total marmite looks, as its something i've alwasy found very unattractive :( I know the Celica 190 mentioned above isn't "the most practical car" but if i went for something like that, i do feel it'd be something i could live with day to do, and it looks stunning (imho) :)
 
a teg r aint a day to day car fella,they have no sound deadening and aint good on the motorway.
yeah the fiats looks are love it or hate it but take one out for a drive,you will be shocked at how quick it is for 220bhp and fwd,plus the teg r aint really what you would call a good lookign car.celica 190's are dissapointing imho,should be way quicker for 190bhp
 
I use an integra as my day to day car doing 80 miles round trip to work during the week. Its perfectly fine on the motorway no louder than say a ford ka. I wonder if all the people complaining about the noise on the motorway have actually driven a teg at all. Also although the fiat is faster in a straight line I would bet the integra would have it across country.

Mine is a daily driver, I do about 140 miles a week on the motorway and it's not a problem. I'd say it's pretty good on the motorway, 4K at 70 is perfect for overtaking and 100 still isn't in VTEC so no problem there.

To put it into real perspective, the standard car is quieter and more refined than a 1.9 205 Gti....
 
I like large barges but have been wanting a jap teg and I dont know why :p
and now that u have said there good on the motorway (do 45miles a day) its soo tempting :D


Edit: insurance quote was tasty aswell, off to autotrader I go heh

Mine's not an Integra but it's rawness is similar, it's fine as a daily driver and fine on motorways.

It's road noise isn't much louder than the EP3.

My uk 1999 turbo costs me 450 quid a year fully comp, aged 31 and 5 years no claims :cool:

yes i have driven one,was looking for one a few years ago but was going to be my only car and it seemed to raw as a day to day car.
i admit the teg is a far better cornering car than the fiat but i personally dont tend to push a car round the twisties on a public road so i would be faster in the fiat.coupe's are quite good round corners once you change the dampers and anti roll bars.on guy on the coupe forum used to keep up with his mates evo6 round the twisties then hamemr him on the straights:D
