I'm sure they do, but their 3DMark performance is actually representative of their game performanceNvidia and AMD optimise their drivers for 3D Mark.
What are your thoughts on updating its position in the hierarchy? It's actual game performance however puts it a decent step behind the 4060Ti
I did mean in just 3D Mark in that instance, so I have also been using Battlefield to get a rough idea.I don't think it's 3DMark position has ever been in doubt - sadly that's just a synthetic result that Intel's drivers have been optimised for since day 1
Review: Intel ARC B580 Limited Edition graphics card (Page 21)
It's time to review test and analyze the new Battlemage series GPU from Intel, yes the Intel ARC B580 Limited Edition (reference card) with 12GB graphics memory.www.guru3d.com
It's actual game performance however puts it a decent step behind the 4060Ti
I think it's in a reasonably fair position - it's broadly equivalent to a 3060Ti which is also in the same tier. Sadly there's no Up/Down alignment in the tables on here, otherwise I could put the B580 towards the bottom of it's current tier. What are your thoughts on updating its position in the hierarchy?
Not quite as rosy at 1080P though, with the B580 dropping off by a huge amount on an older 5600, whereas the 4060 and 7600/7600XT results barely change.
Intel Arc B580 GPU Re-Review: Old PC vs New PC Test
Intel's Arc B580 debuted as a budget-friendly GPU champion, but new data reveals performance struggles with older CPUs. Our re-review dives deep into benchmarks, CPU limitations, and...www.techspot.com
They can advertise it as what they want - the average framerate in the above 1440P chart is <60fps.... just because it has 12Gb RAM doesn't magically make it good at everything at 1440Pyou seem to be really focused on 1080p here.. if so then this likely isn't the card for you.. Intel themselves have advertised this as a 1440p card
to be fair... it ***** all over your 6650XT at 1440p (even with a slower processor) and is within error margin of it at 1080p.. although given you've got a pretty lame CPU then you're best sticking with what you haveThey can advertise it as what they want - the average framerate in the above 1440P chart is <60fps.... just because it has 12Gb RAM doesn't magically make it good at everything at 1440P
Just as well I only play CS2 and TF2 at 1080P on a 75Hz monitor thento be fair... it ***** all over your 6650XT at 1440p (even with a slower processor) and is within error margin of it at 1080p.. although given you've got a pretty lame CPU then you're best sticking with what you have
fair play!Just as well I only play CS2 and TF2 at 1080P on a 75Hz monitor then
Almost as laser-focused as you are on 1440pyou seem to be really focused on 1080p here.. if so then this likely isn't the card for you.. Intel themselves have advertised this as a 1440p card
oh dear.. here he is... again...Almost as laser-focused as you are on 1440p
The issue was never 1440p performance, so posting pics of the 1080p testing and saying there's no problem, while completely omitting the 1080p testing is... Exactly what you're accusing HUB of
You're aware that the Techspot review you've posted is identical to the HUB re-review... Because Steve of HUB wrote it, being a Techspot writer
The problem is is that I have read what you've postedoh dear.. here he is... again...
I'm focused on 1440p as that is what is applicable to me :cry - been pretty clear about that from the outset.. maybe have a re-read and you might catch up..
ok champThe problem is is that I have read what you've posted
You're saying 1440p is fine and tried (and completely failed) to obfuscate the point of the discussion. Everybody knows 1440p is fine, nobody has tried to say anything different.
Once more, nobody is trying to tell you you've bought a turkey. Nobody cares what you buy. Your GPU doesn't have feelings.
Both were cheating in it in the past too, which people easily found out about and they got called out on it, so they then started to be very careful about their approach to 3dmark and their drivers need approval from the 3dmark for scores to be valid. In other words, they can't do more than they do in general in games. Intel is new here so might've not be scrutinised as hard yet and might as well be cheating the score - we don't know that yet.Nvidia and AMD optimise their drivers for 3D Mark.
