Only Windows 7 x64 systems patched with the 2018-01 or 2018-02 patches are vulnerable. If your system isn't patched since December 2017 or if it's patched with the 2018-03 patches or later it will be secure.

How are the microcode updates delivered? I have a 6600k skylake.

I just updated my bios to the latest version , would it be included with that ?
Should be, depends on the release date of the bios you have installed. See if there is a change log/notes on the MB vendors site .
Checked the bios release and it was 2017/03/14, the last microcode update was on the 9th of this month, will that include everything to date?

No, just the latest released bios. But until there is one you wont have the relevent updates.
