First gen DDR5 will likely be expensive and slower stuff. Why would anyone buy this when alder lake with ddr5 is coming out this year?
AMD will just go balls to the wall full fat x86 16 cores for mainstreamI wonder if AMD have anything similar thats planned? I did hear rumours about AMD getting into ARM which seems like a good idea

And power consumption as that has real physical implications for heat, cooling and noise.Pricing is always the only thing that matters.
Im much more interested in Alder lake though, this big/little architecture looks promising, especially with ARM going big this year - this seems like a very good competitor.
AMD in panic mode.

I wonder whether this will make any sense for desktop users, probably more a laptop/mobile benefit like they do with phones. They’re probably also trying to manage heat but maintain core count.
Oh yeah, this is definitely not meant for desktop use but should be in mobile.
Actually now come to think of it, having it in desktop seems nearly completely pointless.
Agreed. Desktop doesn't care about power and you don't need small cores for small workloads, so you end up gimping gaming and larger workloads because those smaller cores aren't relevant to either - essentially you have half the cores.
It might turn out that the 11400F causes the most problems for AMD if it can comfortably beat zen 2 in gaming while being priced around £150 while the new b560 boards will also support memory overclocking.you know the real funny thing the 10400 intel is right up there and costs £120 lol.
