So that means the 11900k is 1% slower in games than the 10900k, what's the point of even making his product?
Because it's the gReATest GaMIng cPU eVEr!

what the hell is the r7 12 CORE ? have i missed AMD having Ryzen 7 12 core chip ?
Oh know, 5% performance gain at 1080P with what double the power and heat and 25% less cores. Rocket Lake seems totally pointless to me. I suppose form an Intel point of view it is great cause they know people will blindly buy it and because it is only 8 core has a limited life span as games start to use more and more cores. Waste of money. Wake me up when Intel have something interesting and i will contemplate moving back
Spot on - it's just not competitive, at this level it's basically pointless to gain a few percentage points in some games - if you lose hugely on workloads with lots of threads and use vastly more power. The Zen 3 lineup are just more rounded products - no serious weak spots.Oh know, 5% performance gain at 1080P with what double the power and heat and 25% less cores. Afreed, i am sure people will buy it and that is there right but makes little to no sense to me at all. It is just a temportary stop gap for the fan boysSpot on - it's just not competitive, at this level it's basically pointless to gain a few percentage points in some games - if you lose hugely on workloads with lots of threads and use vastly more power. Similar single to AMD but lower multiGreat there seems to be competition... now show us the Cinebench singe & multi core results side by side

Why would anyone get one if you can get a 5800X that out performs it? Unless it's £200?Similar single to AMD but lower multi

How long does CBR20 run for? Because if this at max turbo with the 11900k running at 5.3GHz vs 4.8GHz for the 5900X then Zen3 is 15% faster per GHz.Ouch. So still behind AMD in IPC.
11900k CBR20 single core: 610 points
5950x CBR20 single core: 640 points (you can get 670-690 with some very tight curve optimizer tweaks)

Official specs says only 125W like the 10900K but then we know the 125W is largely fiction.
