Intel Dual Core from £79 +VAT

I have just ordered myself an Asus P5ND2 SLi Deluxe, uses nforce 4 but has full support for the 805 from one of the later BIOS... clocking won't be amazing but it looks to be a good solid board considering what I payed from the B grade section.

right i feel like an idiot but how on earth do i get this cpu to show up that its working in dual core ?

cpu-z has the dual core option bit blacked out and device manager doesnt even show one cpu never mind 2 :/

was a new install with sp2 aswell, all asus drivers installed too

any help would be great

yeah i did a full new windows install this morning the first time i booted

i got a new hdd, mobo and the cpu so i had too.

thinking of re installing again now though because i cant get this working dual core at all

re installed using the official windows disk instead of my nlite service pack 2 one and all is fine in the world of dual core :S :D

might get some overclocking done later ;)

yeah i kinda wish i moved over toopci e too but i only bought an agp 6800gs a few weeks ago :(

this asus p5p800 se seems good so far

read in some reviews it has problems with voltage but all the rail seems fine :)

edit -

Can't get mine past 3.80 Ghz without it throwing a wobbly

4.0Ghz gets to the windows loading screen before dieing a horrible death

3.9Ghz boots fine but after 20 mins freezes. I tried playing CS but after 5 mins I get artifacts then it dies - another horrible death :/

So...is this my limit?
Can I do anything else to get it upto 4Ghz?

Loving these chips, great bang for buck :D Currently on 3.3Ghz stock volts, cranking it up slowly making sure its 100% stable.

I've got a 920D on its way from B-grade too, so I'll have a play with that and see which is best.
