The past week has seen quite a number of leaks, at east where the Intel Processor department is concerned, and as the month draws to an end we have learned almost all there is to know about Intel’s new built-for-overclocking SKUs. Our colleagues over at Chinese VR Zone have sent us the final specifications of the Devil Canyon processors as well as the Pentium 20th Anniversary G3258 processor.

Just can't get excited about the 20th Anniversary Pentium, even if it hit 6GHz on air, it's still just a dual core. DC looks alright though.

But the question is when are they going to be released?

Are we expecting the i7-4790K to be the £240-£250 mark?

I wish they hadn't dropped hyperthreading on the pentium aniv

you can really notice it on the older i3 540

it would be ideal budget oc chip, would work well in htpc's

That'd be great for modded Minecraft though - darn thing only uses 1 thread and stutters along even on an overclocked i5 :S Almost be tempted to make a tiny basic ITX build just for that purpose, if 20th Anni turned out to be a superclocker :D

i agree i also heard battlefield 4 won't even run on dual core cpu's.

It runs fine with dual core, my boys are using Haswell Pentium dual core + Mantle and have no probs playing Battefield 4.

I think Watch Dogs doesn't work properly with dual core, but then that game doesn't work properly with anything :p

Even Thief seems to run far better on a similarly clocked Core i3 when compared to a Pentium dual core.

I might pick up one for the LOLs at some point, but I might just upgrade my main rig ATM.

I just see the E8400 against the Q6600,and the G6950 against the Core i3 530 situations again though, and we know which CPUs won in the end.

A Core i3 K series would have been awesome though!!

Motherboard Manufacturer’s May Allow Intel’s Devil’s Canyon CPU Support on Z87 Motherboards

Intel would announce their upcoming Devil’s Canyon processors at Computex 2014 which begins next week. Shipping in Q3 2014, the new Devil’s Canyon processors would include two new SKUs, the Core i7-4970K and Intel’s Core i5-4690K. The new processors would feature the 22nm Haswell microarchitecture and include enhanced packaging materials and design for better overclocking support.

MAY

I think its down to intel, they can stop it at the processor level, just like they have with b85/h81/87 boards and k cpu's

Do we know which day intel are likely to announce "stuff" at computex? As it's like a week long lol.

I want them to just come out with it on Monday but unlikely, The wait is killing me.

LOL I love how the Chinese really don't care about leaking this stuff. There are plenty of people in the UK that know most of the relevant information on these cpus inc predicted release dates but are bound by NDA which is pretty strict. It is strange that Intel constantly has leaks like this but does not appear to do anything about it. For instance I am pretty sure that people at major UK retailers and manufacturers have this information but their jobs would be on the line as well as their business relationship with the biggest cpu manufacturer in the world should they divulge the information. ;)

I am pretty sure its the WANT NOW crowd that are that impatient that fuel this sort of leaks and I am one of them loving "leaked" information on the PS4. But maybe its time to not get to ahead of ourselves and have patience till the product comes out???

Then again when did China ever adhere to confidential or copyrighted information...

The Chinese government doesn't bend over when US authorities come knocking so Chinese (and Russian) people have nothing to fear from leaking such information.
