Intel price drop 21/22 July

10x500 is not impossible but still, i wouldnt imagine it can be done at anythign much under 1.5V :S. But we can all hope.

Just taken a look on XS, the E0 chip looks very good. Handles 4ghz at 1.232v orthos stable.

Thats a lot better than C0 e8400s.

What kind of voltage will you need for that? Id imagine at least 1.5v, can 45nm handle that in the long term?

Yes it can handle it long term, but i would'nt run that high unless under Phase. My current E8500 runs Orthos blend stable at 4.75ghz with 1.568vcore, i'm hoping that an E8600 might run 500x10 at the same sort of Vcore. We'll just have to wait and see.

hmmm that makes it more interesting. I was so disapointed i got a B3 instead of a G0, i dont want to make the same mistake again, i might fork the extra to get a E8600 =/

So if I was after a C2D at around £100 and was probably gonna go cheap and get the E7200, what would be a better choice for me?

If Intel drop prices early this week when would that translate to the UK? Immediate price drops or until shipments at the new prices arrive?

ps3ud0

any confirmation on what the final prices will be here in the uk? I know the batch prices...but for the first few weeks there not accurate representations.
