INTEL RAPTOR LAKE NOW AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER !

295.2w for the 13900k at stock from GN testing. Sweet Jesus!

1000w-1200w PSUS are going to be the new normal from now on. SFF builds RIP, not because of no PSUS at that level but getting the heat out and fitting AIO water coolers. Meeh... Things are getting too silly even for me now and I was always like give me faster faster faster parts but not at these power levels now.. I'm not building an oven to cook my food in and with the price of electricity these days and more price hikes coming soon thanks to this government that will not just go hide under a rock and let someone else take over that can run the country right. Soon we will get same rubbish from next PM and telling us all to suck it up and new reality of electricity pricing and buy candles or get a pet hamster on a wheel to power your devices.

Hmm, wondering if the Q58 and 280mm AIO will be pushing it.

With what GPU ?

looking at builds with that case and cooler I think pushing it with a 13900k and say a 3080 and up.

But a 13600k and say a 4070ti (when they get released) will be a good balanced system in that case without having to worry about heat.

Anyone thinking they can build a 13900k and 4090 (if you can even get that to fit and will need water cooling to fit) in that case well get ready to under clock and under volt everything, so a pointless system.

Depends on the components used but would be silly to stick top end parts in that.

This build will be the 13700KF and A770. May consider going the 7700X route.

What is up with the motherboard situation? I keep seeing ppl mention stuff but nothing is explained in detail. I really hope I don't have to wait longer for my motherboard. I am suffering on the inside not being able to build my new PC :(

@Gibbo You may be able to provide the best answer to this.
Basically, somebody had the bright idea of squeezing out their platform launch just a few weeks after their competitor's platform and at the tail end of a week long Chinese national holiday.
As I'm sure you're aware. There's only so much production capacity in the Chinese factories and even less when all the workers get a week off...Since the vendors are having to balance the two platforms (well three actually) they are having to make strategic decisions over which models are their priority.

Some models will be a few weeks away.

I'm expecting more Hero, Strix F & Strix A early next week

I think before i upgrade anything at this point, im gonna wait for SFX ATX 3.0 psu's that top over 1000w. More than likely will push into SFX-L psu's for reduced fan noise as well, blimey never thought i'd need that much power just to run an itx gaming rig.

The Corsair SF750 Plat is a great psu but i don't think it's gonna last long being at its peak consumption with the latest components.

@ScottiB Is this the same reason for the delay on the ASUS Tuf ATX 3.0 PSU's as well?

Dunno for sure but in my opinion that's just because the whole ATX 3.0 design and qualification process was severely rushed. Six months from a spec outline which requires new components and redesigns to getting the product on the shelf is fairly unrealistic for a lot of companies.

My Rog Thor is supposed to be arriving at the end of the month. It’s holding up my whole build at the minute. Quite pricey, but I’d rather have more than not enough.
