All of those guys got sacked in the P4 cull, but maybe.

shhhhh don't give them idea's......
Also, that last line in the screenshot..... a tad over the top me thinks

I'm SOOOOOOOOO glad AMD has forced their hand. AMD the peoples CPU manufacturer
/me looks at his intel CPU & frowns.
Edit: wut! the x99 is still expensive.... wait... have they even been slashed at all?
Shows how much they believe Intel tax is worth; approximately 40%.Looks like the Core i7 6900K is dropping to $699:

The important thing is not to reward Intel for screwing you, don't go hey, Intel prices are great, lets buy that Intel chip now. They are dropping prices to compete, because Zen is genuinely competitive, if it wasn't prices wouldn't come down so you won't lose out by going AMD, you'll win.
The more cash you give AMD, the longer term AMD can compete, ie have the cash to have quicker R&D cycles to push Intel more of the time and Intel taking a hit in profits will also push them to put more R&D into their products.
But seriously, OCUK had i3's at £185 or something a day or two ago, now Intel wants the 6600k at that price point... overnight they put the prices down and at $180 they are still plenty profitable at that price, it's still only a 122mm^2 core AND they've been making so much extra profit with the previous pricing.
If they can lower the price of 7600k/7700k down then with a z170 itx board I'd have a brilliant htpc.
But amd's first attack is at x99 with no itx in sight and a delay until we see r3/r5. I guess by the time Amd execute with itx boards and r3/r5's I imagine that's when prices of 1151 will be affected.
Suppose i'll just have to hang on with this h61 and 3770k for now.
I am on a B75 mini-ITX motherboard and a Xeon E3 1230 V2,so will need to wait and see how AM4 is with regards mini-ITX motherboard releases this year.
Let's hope AMD can bring a similar game to the GPU market. Nvidia's 10 series pricing is ludicrous as there's no competitor from the 1070 up.
So you have pretty much a similar setup too and a better chipset. I bought the h61 whilst keeping an eye out for a decent 1155 z itx board, but peeps selling demand silly money.
I'm in no rush to replace this setup as my main pc is a Z68 2600k, but ideally I'd like an R5 and Itx board.
Wait I thought CPU prices left no margins for retailers? How can they be reducing them.
At a loss?Wait I thought CPU prices left no margins for retailers? How can they be reducing them.
I'd love to see Amd hitting it hard with the Vega, But I really don't expect anything that'll either change the pricing or provide a massive performance improvement at my limit of 300-350.
