Brad Mate ;)

Asus P5W DH its not cheap and they're running short of them at the moment quite simply because it is THE board to have.

I shall be posting my review of the board you know where ;) soon, the summary is its an amazing board if you can afford it
Hi! Yeah I had one on order but cancelled when I heard the E6600 was delayed not much point when no chip to through in it!

Guys I could do with some advice...I asked it in another thread but had no answer.
I've got a Intel DP965LT 965 in my conroe order but I'm guessing it wont be out if Gibbo manages to source some E6600 OEMs. When and if that day comes would I be better of changing my mobo to a DS3 so my conroe priority isn't given away?

I cant believe you guys are forking out so much money for the Conroe setup. I did a quick calculation as to how much it would cost me to make the switch: £700 approx. Thats a lot of money to me and I'm still ooohing and aaahing on whether to spend all that.
errrr you could always sell your old stuff? I sold my FX-60 which makes the majority of the swap over! never mind my 2gb ram and dfi expert, so basically once thats sold it wont cost a penny :D

Just got an email confirming shipping of my oem 6300 by special delivery. :D

I didn't think I would get one, I thought everyone would have sanpped them up so I didn't order a motherboard or a cooler :(

Going to look into fugger's work on the abit ab9pro as it looks quite promising.

First post from my 6300 rig :o

Sitting in a DS3 with 1900XT, not had chance to do much with it yet, still waiting for my data to copy over

Nosing about this Gigabayte BIOS, first rig I've overclocked in about 3 years and never used a Gigabyte before.

Seems mainly familiar though

Definately want to see some results with this setup. Looking at that mobo as one of my main choices to match my oem 6300

Will the E6600 be another couple of weeks everywhere? Because I saw it available in 2-3 days on another site.

If you're referring to the site I think you're referring to, then it's said 2-3 days for more than 3 days now

Lol, well it could mean that's how long until it would be delivered? It does seem doubtful that the site I'm referring to would get it before OCUK, but I can't help being hopeful. I've got a new case, mobo, RAM, cpu cooler, 2 hard drives, gfx card, sound card, PSU and dvd-rw sat here without a CPU that was originally meant to be delivered together with it all. :(

Some sites may be just too lazy to change the web pages. Mike, could you post that info? I want to see how that DS3 performs, or whether I should splash out a little more on the DS4 (it's only £15, but that's a Friday evening work for me).

Perhaps the people who have already taken delivery of their cpus are getting a bit nervous to overclock - it sounds strange but you never know.

Tomorrow lots of people should be taking delivery, so I'm sure we will see lots of overclocking results.

Im still debating whether or not I should spend £700 on the upgrade (new mobo, ram, video card, cpu, waterblocks) from my current [email protected].
