Intergalactic By Naughty Dog

And here we go!!!!
It's hard to draw anything intelligible from your post, without knowing what the question was she was asked, and what context it was in.

She doesn't even say the text that is quoted in the video (I listented twice and they misquoted her)!

Maybe i'm being naive, but if she was asked what is your opinion of xxx and she gave her opinion what is the issue in relation to the game? She is a voice actor who will be given some lines to record, It's not like she's a game designer etc!

I watched that teaser trailer and my overriding response was “this looks cool”

Then I went to Reddit and lolled at the hate. On the strength of a video snippet that is out of context and without any further information, the internet experts have already deduced this game will be a massive flop because the main protagonist is a butch lesbian skinhead, and that’s just not attractive to men.

Smh.

I'll pass on this one personally, I'm not keen on the direction Druckmann has taken things since TLOU2, which I really didn't like.

Interesting concept but I don't have much faith in the studio or man in charge anymore, which is fine as there's plenty of other titles on the horizon that I'm looking forward to.

This is the worrying trend I am seeing, and its been getting worse somehow. Nothing has been shown of the game apart from a very pointless trailer showing a woman in space and everyone is losing their minds. Jack in ME3 was great but released today she'd be destroyed.

It's almost as bad as the salty gaming muppets voting down Astrobot because its not a 'PC' game or a 'serious AAAAA' game. Blimey, god knows what the next 5yrs brings.

I think the majority of people just take it in their stride and go with whatever they like without feeling a need to comment on it. So the vocal crowd are always heard more loudly. I watched that trailer and thought yep that looks cool I’m in. None of the rest of what is being said even occurred to me. I’m just going to stay out of it and get the game when it eventually releases. I am sure, as always from ND, it will be brilliantly done.

I wasn't aware they'd released any games after TLOU2, considering how well that was received critically and commercially, what 'direction' has the studio gone in to make you lose faith?

@Plainsong what are you 'in' for? It was just a trailer with no gameplay. Not sure how any assumptions can be made from that either way.

It read to me like they didn't like the direction taken in TLOU2 not after it.

I've not played it so I don't understand. From what I have experienced, all the Uncharted games play pretty much the same and The last of Us (part one) felt just like another Uncharted game almost gameplay wise at least.
I'm pretty sure the game reviewed even higher than the first part, and was pretty much a continuation of the story with all the same gameplay elements because naughty dog dare not change the formula God forbid. Which is exactly why I got bored of their games very early on.

I am just a fan of everything they put out so I am interested to see what they do with the subject matter. I’m a big sci-fi lover as well so it looks to be right up my street. Will be interested to see more of what the game actually is though as we can’t know a lot from that. Bounty hunters and sci-fi setting is about all.

That's exactly what I meant.

While the game looks stunning, it's also very story driven and I didn't get on at all with the way it unfolded. I also find Druckmann very overrated, I'm aware many loved TLOU2, but it really wasn't for me and if that set the bar for the company going forward I've little interest.

The first one was very story driven too though? Do you mean you just didn't like the story in the second one? I feel like I'm missing something here.
What was it about the story that makes you think it's going to impact any of the other games going forward?

Anita Sarkeesian was brought into naughty dog as consultant and Drunckmann lapped it up like a lap dog. He also played a large role in removing Amy Hennig.

I don't know who any of those people are and I probably don't care either. Thank you for the explanation but I'll just accept I don't get whatever's going on in here but I'm now beginning to suspect it's something 'political' :)
